My final night in FTV-42

I must say I really loved taking the FTV-42 class this fall semester. It was a very encouraging and beneficial class for me. I learned so much that will definitely help me in the future. I would have never thought that I could write and make a documentary but now after taking FTV-42 I know that I can reach that goal and help inspire others to overcome unfortunate situations in their lives. I am really excited about getting started on my documentary and am still hoping to find women who are willing to contribute and tell their stories to assist those who have not found their own voices yet. Also, I am still working on my own personal issues in my life because reality is: how can I tell someone to speak about the things in their lives and overcome struggle if I have not even done it myself. I am so passionate about starting, working on, and completing this project and thanks to Marina Kochan I have a better understanding of what I need to do and she has encouraged me so much and is one of those teachers that you stay in contact with. Mari I can tell is very passionate about her job and about her students and you can tell that much just by how she is so willing to aid them in their endeavors and she has been one of my biggest cheerleaders when it has come to my writing and I have only known her for a semester! I really appreciate it. Now I just have to focus on find women who I can help to tell their stories.
I am also wanting to have my own poetry and the poetry of poets today, both experienced and up-incoming included in the documentary. I could also have the women write poetry for their own parts or do something otherwise artistic. So hopefully even though I am not taking this class I can still perhaps blog on here to keep in contact with a lot of the classmates I met in FTV-42. Also, if you know anyone who would like to contribute please let me know!

Thank You,

Rikki Frohmader
